Ye Meike è nato a Prato nel 1999. All’età di quattro anni si è trasferito a Genova con la famiglia, di origine cinese. Ha frequentato l’Istituto d’Istruzione Secondaria Superiore Einaudi Casaregis-Galilei, per poi proseguire la sua formazione presso l’ente professionale Is.For.Coop.
Fin da giovane ha coltivato una profonda passione per l’arte, la cultura e la comunicazione. Nel 2014 ha partecipato all’11ª edizione di “Danzando a GinnasticArte”, manifestazione dedicata a danza, musica e movimento, dichiarando: “Qui ho comunicato a tutti la mia felicità, entusiasmo e amore per la musica e la danza.”
Nel 2018 ha iniziato a cimentarsi nella scrittura poetica, partecipando a diversi concorsi letterari. Ha vinto il Premio Speciale al 22° Concorso Letterario “Azzurra Liguria” con la poesia “Arriva Babbo Natale”.
Nel 2019 ha ideato e organizzato l’evento “Il Capodanno Cinese raccontato dagli studenti del Casaregis” a Genova, avviando un percorso volto alla valorizzazione della cultura cinese in Italia, con il sogno di organizzare la “Festa di Primavera” in piazza a Genova.
Appassionato di informatica, eventi culturali, spettacolo, cronaca e turismo, ha fondato e curato diversi blog. Oggi dirige la redazione giornalistica online “Ye Meike – Onnipresente agli eventi”, attraverso la quale documenta e promuove la vita culturale della città di Genova e dei territori circostanti.
Partecipa attivamente a eventi locali, mostre, inaugurazioni, flash mob e conferenze, realizzando interviste e riprese giornalistiche.
Ha visitato più volte la Cina, suo paese d’origine, tra cui nel 2003 e nel 2017.
Nel 2022 ha curato una mostra che ha unito immagini e poesie, mettendo in dialogo la cultura cinese e quella genovese. L’esposizione, ospitata presso la Civica Biblioteca Gallino di San Pier d’Arena, sarà replicata nel luglio 2025 presso la Biblioteca Guerrazzi di Cornigliano, insieme a un convegno sull’integrazione culturale.
Nel 2024 e, per la seconda volta, il 16 gennaio 2025, ha collaborato alla realizzazione di due concerti straordinari per il Capodanno Cinese, organizzati a La Spezia dall’Associazione Amici della Cina. Gli eventi, resi memorabili dalla sinergia con il Conservatorio Niccolò Paganini di Genova, hanno portato sul palco giovani talenti cinesi e italiani, che hanno incantato il pubblico con un repertorio di opere orientali e occidentali. L’Associazione, attiva dal 2016, promuove la cultura cinese attraverso eventi musicali e artistici di alto valore simbolico e culturale.
Attualmente, il Sig. Ye Meike è impegnato in un tirocinio formativo presso il Circolo Autorità Portuale di Genova (CAP), grazie al supporto del Servizio Sociale del Dipartimento di Inclusione e Riabilitazione Sociale della ASL3 Genovese. L’attività si svolge tre volte a settimana – lunedì, mercoledì e venerdì, dalle 9:00 alle 12:00.
Pur non essendo iscritto all’Ordine dei Giornalisti della Liguria, a causa di difficoltà che hanno comportato l’impossibilità di accedere all’albo e quindi la mancata partecipazione ad eventi riservati e l’assenza di accrediti stampa, continua con determinazione a raccontare e valorizzare la vita culturale della sua città.
Il Sig. Ye Meike si rende disponibile per rispondere a domande o condividere le sue esperienze nei settori che da sempre lo appassionano, con l’intento di contribuire a una società più inclusiva, consapevole e culturalmente viva.

Ye Meike was born in Prato in 1999. At the age of four, he moved to Genoa with his family, originally from China. He attended the Einaudi Casaregis-Galilei Secondary School in Genoa and later completed vocational training at the Is.For.Coop training institute.
From a young age, he developed a deep passion for art, culture, and communication. In 2014, he actively took part in the 11th edition of “Danzando a GinnasticArte,” a cultural event focused on dance, music, and movement. On that occasion, he shared: “Here I expressed to everyone my happiness, enthusiasm, and love for music and dance.”
In 2018, he began writing poetry and participated in various literary competitions. He won a Special Award at the 22nd “Azzurra Liguria” Literary Competition with his poem “Santa Claus is Coming.”
In 2019, he organized and launched the event “Chinese New Year as Told by Casaregis Students” in Genoa, which marked the beginning of his current dream: to organize a public “Spring Festival” in Genoa’s city squares.
Passionate about IT, cultural events, news reporting, entertainment, and tourism, he has founded and managed several blogs. He is currently the editor of the online news outlet “Ye Meike – Present at Every Event,” through which he documents and promotes Genoa’s cultural life and that of the surrounding areas.
A keen observer of everything around him, he regularly attends local events, exhibitions, inaugurations, flash mobs, and conferences, producing journalistic interviews and video reports.
He has visited China, his family’s country of origin, several times — first in 2003, and most recently in 2017.
In 2022, he curated an exhibition combining photographs and poetry to create a cultural bridge between China and Genoa, the city where he lives. The exhibit, hosted at the Gallino Civic Library in San Pier d’Arena, received positive attention from the public and local media. A second edition will be held in July 2025 at the Guerrazzi Civic Library in Cornigliano, along with a conference on cultural integration, aimed at highlighting the diverse origins of many residents in the city.
In both 2024 and again on January 16, 2025, he contributed to two extraordinary Chinese New Year concerts held in La Spezia, organized by the Friends of China Association, which has been promoting Chinese culture through concerts since 2016. These events, made even more special by the collaboration with the Niccolò Paganini Conservatory of Genoa, brought together young Chinese and Italian talents, who delighted audiences with a repertoire of Eastern and Western music.
Currently, Mr. Ye Meike is completing a training internship at the Port Authority Club of Genoa (CAP), with the support of the Social Services Department for Inclusion and Social Rehabilitation of ASL3 Genoa. The internship takes place three days a week – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Although not registered with the Order of Journalists of Liguria, due to administrative obstacles that prevented his enrollment and resulted in exclusion from restricted-access events and lack of official press credentials, he remains committed to covering and celebrating the city’s cultural life with passion and perseverance.
